I am deeply dedicated to providing top-tier rehabilitation treatment, and my commitment to excellence is unaltered after 10 years in the rehabilitation industry. Every year, I diligently strive to enhance my skills and expand my knowledge base. My journey began in 2013 when I earned my Small Animal Level 3 Hydrotherapy certificate, and I furthered my expertise by achieving my Level 5 in Small Animal Hydrotherapy in 2016. In the current year, 2022, I am actively pursuing an Advanced treadmill qualification, further enriching my capabilities. Additionally, I make it a point to engage in a minimum of 25 hours of Continued Professional Development (CPD) annually.
My profound affection for animals, with a particular fondness for dogs and cats, fueled my desire for a career involving these beloved creatures. However, it was a pivotal moment when my own dog, Willow, required lifelong treatment and management for Hip Dysplasia that I discovered my true passion for canine rehabilitation.
The discovery of Hydrotherapy left me awe-inspired, witnessing firsthand its remarkable impact on my own dog’s well-being. Upon obtaining my qualifications and commencing treatment for my patients, I recognised a substantial gap between Hydrotherapy and comprehensive rehabilitation. This realisation ignited my unwavering commitment to enhancing my skills and knowledge, empowering me to provide my patients with complete and effective rehabilitation programs delivered by a seasoned professional.
My determination to elevate industry standards led me to serve as the Vice Chair of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA) for several years.
My thirst for knowledge remains unquenchable, and my dedication to crafting successful rehabilitation programs for my patients continues to flourish. Over the past 10 years, I have nurtured a thriving rehabilitation center where I can personally oversee each case. My approach is grounded in respect, ensuring that I always work at the patient’s pace. I adopt a holistic perspective and steadfastly adhere to my scope of practice, never venturing beyond its boundaries.”
My lifelong passion for working with animals led me to an exciting opportunity in October 2017 when I began volunteering at Willows Hydrotherapy. Over the years, my dedication and commitment have driven me to achieve a Level 3 Small Animal Hydrotherapist qualification and, subsequently, a Level 5 certification in Advanced Canine Hydrotherapy Techniques.
I wholeheartedly embrace my role as a qualified hydrotherapist at Willows, and my enthusiasm for continuous growth is unwavering. Each year, I allocate 25 hours to Continued Professional Development (CPD) to stay at the forefront of my field. Collaborating within our dynamic team and contributing to the broader Multidisciplinary team is a source of great fulfillment for me.
In addition to my role at Willows, I also engage part-time in the field of education. In my leisure hours, you’ll often find me enjoying refreshing walks with my cherished Shih-Tzu companion, Max.
