Hydrotherapy session

At Willow’s, our commitment to the well-being of your pet companions is our priority. Throughout each appointment, our animal patients undergo continuous re-assessments to ensure that both short-term and long-term treatment goals are met. We compile progress reports for your referring Veterinary Surgeon to keep them informed.

We also collaborate happily with other professionals involved in your pet’s care, tailoring each session to the specific needs we encounter on the day.

On your initial visit to Willow’s for assessment/consultation, we review your veterinary referral form and engage in a comprehensive discussion about your pet’s history, condition, injuries, character, and behaviours. This helps us gain a deeper understanding of your pet, setting the stage for future success. We allow your pet the time needed to adjust and build trust, ensuring they actively participate in their therapy.

Your hydrotherapy session may encompass land-based treatments as well, with our approach varying based on your pet’s unique requirements throughout the treatment program.

Our hydrotherapy sessions may include:

  • Therapeutic Shortwave Ultrasound
  • Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy/PEMF
  • Manual cupping techniques
  • Massage Therapy

For your pet’s comfort and success, please remember to bring:

  • A toweling coat to keep your dog warm and dry after hydrotherapy.
  • Towels for drying and any potential land-based exercises.
  • High-value treats to motivate your dog and enhance the session’s positivity.
  • Ensure we receive your Veterinary referral form prior to your appointment as it’s essential for the session to proceed.

Some important points to note:

  • Every pet is cared for by a qualified hydrotherapist.
  • Each pet receives a personalised treatment program.
  • Payment is required at each appointment.
  • Check with your pet insurance company, as many may cover hydrotherapy and physiotherapy costs.
  • A veterinary referral form is mandatory before attending any treatment sessions.
  • Prepaid sessions are non-refundable.
  • Please ensure your dog has relieved itself before entering the center and avoid feeding them two hours before or after hydrotherapy.
  • If you need to cancel your appointment, kindly provide 48 hours’ notice to avoid a full session charge.

Your pet’s well-being is our top priority, and we look forward to assisting them on their path to better health and vitality at Willow’s.

If for any reason you need to cancel/change your appointment  you must give 48 hours notice, failure to do so will result in full charge of the session. No shows will also be charged in full
